As a Baby Boomer, I fondly remember lodging at many a Best Western motel across America each summer on family roadtrips. Now, with four children of my own, I've passed that passion on to my kids and hubby. The multiple generations of images in this post -- me as a kid and of my own children -- tell the whole story.

To help make the world a better place we also try and lead as green a lifestyle as we possibly can both at home recycling and tending an organic garden and when we travel and spend lots of times with summer outdoor activities like huckleberry picking. That's not even to mention that I'm an avid supporter of the National Park System. So, when I heard of this contest that was just announced combining roadtripping, eco living, and National Park appreciation, I just had to share it with like-minded MBE readers.

To celebrate living greener the Earth Day Network and Best Western International are hosting a photo contest that I've already entered myself. You should enter too because the winner gets to choose a vacation trip from among some wonderful destinations. Among the prize choices are: the Red Rocks of Sedona Arizona, Rocky Mountain National Park, Napa Valley wine country, Bryce Canyon National Park, Victoria British Columbia, the New Orleans Latin Quarter and others.
