Influencer Marketing For Dummies Book Review - New Resource for Brands & Influencers

Books

Navigating the new, vast and fast-changing world of influencer marketing is a lot like trying to find your way through the most remote parts of the snowy Sierra Mountains of California in winter. Both can be overwhelming at first glance, not knowing where to start. Attempt either without a plan or destination in mind, along with the GPS, maps and proper equipment to make the trip and you are almost guaranteed to get lost or worse.

The new book Influencer Marketing For Dummies, released this month by John Wiley & Sons changes the potential worse case scenarios. It provides all the information and resources needed from A to Z for companies small, medium and large to succeed in meeting your brand’s goals. And, remember, bloggers are brands, too, making this title a must-have for just about everyone with a website that is looking to grow.

Authors of this title include the brilliant co-founders of Clever Girls Collective Kristy Sammis, Cat Lincoln and Stefania Pomponi, along with Jenny Ng, Edita Gassmann Rodriquez and Judy Zhou, of the Clever Girls team. As a social media influencer myself here at MommyBlogExpert, I've been privileged to work with the entire Clever Girls staff during the past five plus years on a host of household brands.

In this book you'll have the opportunity to crack the mystique associated with a range of CGC case studies about how to pull off successful influencer marketing campaigns. In fact, until I read the book for this review, as a seasoned lifestyle blogger and social media strategist, I thought I had a good handle on influencer marketing. But after reading the title's case studies like the ones about the Lay's Do Us a Flavor and Always Like a Girl, I realized how much more there is to learn. This is definitely a book that will be my deskside companion as I grow and expand this blog.

Like other books in the For Dummies series, this one is meant to be a reference guide where instead of reading cover to cover, you are able to jump around to read what is most relevant.

Here's an overview of what you'll find inside
  • Influencer Marketing 101
  • Identifying Influencers
  • The Main Platforms for Influencer Marketing
  • Measuring Your Success
  • Creating Stellar Influencer Marketing Campaigns
  • The Part of Tens, including 10 Reasons Influencer Marketing Campaigns Fail and 10 Online Resources for Influencer Marketing Information
  • Federal Trade Commission (FTC) Guidelines
