NEW Ghostbusters Snapchat Camera Feature from Sony Pictures Now Available for Smartphones

Technology

Ahead of the July 15th big screen release of the 1984 remake, Sony Pictures unveils the first-ever Ghostbusters Snapchat filter so you can bust ghosts with your front facing smart phone camera as well as surprise friends and foes by sliming them using the rear-facing lens. In fact, Sony Pictures is the first brand partner to use this new lens type on Snapchat.

Sponsored Lenses makes it possible for brands to engage with Snapchatters who want to take their selfies to the next level. Using the new Ghostbusters Lenses, fans will be able to listen to the iconic music from this science fiction fantasy picture as you suit up your selfies with special effects and sounds in real time.

Ghostbusters makes its long-awaited return to theaters on July 15 with a cast of hilarious new characters. Thirty years after the beloved original franchise took the world by storm, director Paul Feig brings his fresh take to the supernatural comedy, joined by some of the funniest actors working today - Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon, Leslie Jones, and Chris Hemsworth. This summer, they're here to save the world! The film is produced by Ivan Reitman and Amy Pascal, and written by Katie Dippold & Paul Feig, based on the 1984 film "Ghostbusters," an Ivan Reitman film, written by Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis.
