Veterans Day 2011 which occurs on 11/11/11, is just one example of a palindrome. As defined by Wikipedia a palindrome is a word, phrase, number, or other sequence of units that can be read the same way in either direction. A bit of history: the palindrome dates back to at least 79 AD.
