I received the product featured for the purposes of this review

For the past several years technology for young kids has been a growing trend at the International CES. I expect that the upcoming conference in January 2014, we'll be seeing even more durable products in that niche as it continues to expand to accomodate a digital generation that is being raised on consumer electronics since birth.

The orange soda-colored iDeaPLAY 7" Android  tablet, which was introduced just a few weeks ago by iDeaUSA, is one of the newest products in stores now. This device is joining the fold of tablets that are safer for children to play and learn with not only because it's outer case is built to stand up to the rougher way young ones handle mobile devices (the manufacturer claims this is water and bump resistant) but because of the advanced parental controls it affords.

With an MSRP of $129, the iDeaPLAY 7" Tablet only comes in bright uni-sex orange for now, but hopefully the company will add other color options in the future for all those kids who have another color that's their favorite. This is isn't the least expensive on the market in its category, but for all it offers it is reasonably priced. Lightweight, yet sturdy, it makes it a great candidate for your child to take wherever you go including on family vacations.
