education is the great leveler in our society. "By age three, there is already a huge difference in kids from low-income homes as they hear on average 30 million fewer words than their more fortunate peers. This puts these children 18 months cognitively behind those with more wealth by the time they start school." i find it sad & disturbing in the USA we have such economic disparity. we all want better for kids. if i win i will donate the money to a school.

I think that an early childhood education should be available to all children no matter what their families economic status is. To me it not only teaches a child knowledge but also equality and improves their self esteem throughout their life when they are given the same chances to succeed as children who come from a higher economic status. It will and can also impact the rest of their life and the choices that they make as to their future.

Early childhood education is so important because sadly many children are falling behind in school. Even my step-son has a hard time with spelling and reading. So I've seen first-hand how crucial it is to teach them young!

imaclutz89 said...

Everyone needs to know how to read and write. Early education starts socializing with kids their own age as well. This is necessary for children for kids to feel they fit in.

It's so helpful for them and everyone if they can learn early, plus it's fun to learn things then, no one should be deprived of that.

Dara Nix said...

I read that 65% of little kids in needs have little or no access to books and that statistic scares me. Books seem to have fallen by the wayside in favor of technology -- but I think that children NEED to be able to sit down and read a book (especially the preschool chilldren).

Sara said...
