Women Small Business WIN a $15K Deluxe Makeover

Competition

I first learned of Deluxe Corporation and their dedication to helping us women entrepreneurs and small businesses owners grow in January. At the time, I was one of 80 lucky female business owners, along with people like Jean Roth, who were privileged to attend the Dreamers Into Doers Conference at Martha Stewart Omnimedia 's corporate office in New York City. The multi-day gathering, hosted by Martha Stewart herself, was sponsored by Deluxe.

During the course of that two day event, I learned and networked much.  One of the speakers was Deluxe's PR director (pictured above), who addressed us about best practices for marketing communications.  This smart lady also invited all of us to submit a request for a complimentary logo design and website makeover by her company.

The lovely sponsored sit down catered lunch featured the beautifully presented Grilled Dill Salmon and coffee and sweet dessert assortment in these photos.   I thoroughly enjoyed hearing our speaker as well as savoring all this gourmet food, and meeting and networking with the other business owner gals at my table.  But, there's one thing I've  regretted ever since -- that I did NOT take the time to apply for the generous Deluxe awards opportunities that were offered to us that day.

So, when I received an email today asking if I'd post about Deluxe's Project REV 2012 I didn't hesitate to immediately apply myself for this program which is still accepting applications right now. It only took me about a half hour to answer some basic questions and fill out the online form. But, I didn't want to stop there, which is why I wrote this blogpost right away.

This is too good of a support resource to U.S. entrepreneurs to keep to myself. For certain, I want to share this wonderful opportunity with all of this blog's readers, particularly those hard-working women -- like me -- that could use a little help to boost our own  home-based cottage industries.

Currently, Deluxe is still accepting applications for a chance to win a marketing makeover for 2012 that includes $15K worth of the brand's marketing products and services. As part of the prize, the winners selected also will get a full year's worth of marketing and business mentorship with Deluxe and SCORE advisors.

Project REV, an outreach program underwritten by Deluxe, helps small business owners and entrepreneurs achieve growth, increase sales and acquire new customers. Marketing products and services the company provides include web site development and hosting, logo design and branding, email marketing, traditional direct marketing and more.

Last year, the project's nine recipients included six female entrepreneurs with businesses that have since collectively experienced a 50% revenue increase despite the current challenges of the U.S. economy.

Laura Radewald, vice president of enterprise brand at Deluxe and a former entrepreneur herself, sums up my own professional predicament well. She says, "Today's entrepreneurs and small business owners are passionate about their businesses as well as often frustrated with marketing and unsure if they are doing it effectively."

I'm almost certain that I'm not the only female small business owner that would like to turn my passion into a successful enterprise. So, if you feel as I do, I highly encourage you to apply for Deluxe's Project REV 2012.
