As a Baby Boomer, Sara Lee is a nostalgic brand I grew up with. I'll never forget how my Mother, who usually baked everything from scratch, would make the best Strawberry Shortcake ever each summer. It was delicious and so easy to serve whether it was just for our family or if we were having company because all she had to do was slice a loaf of butter-rich Sara Lee Pound Cake and place each slice on a dessert plate, then top with fresh juicy strawberries and real whipping cream.

Back in the day that unforgettable pound cake and other Sara Lee sweets, as I remember, were sold only in the frozen food section. Times have changed dramatically since I was a little girl, for sure. Sara Lee ready-to-serve desserts are now available in a much wider range of options and you have the choice of buying either fresh or frozen.

Now there's something that's brand new and even more exciting...

New Sara Lee Buttery Sunshine Snack Cakes, MommyBlogExpert.com
This fall the nation's largest baking company, Bimbo Bakeries USA, is bringing yet another new way to the table to enjoy the same fresh taste that Sara Lee has always been known for. Sara Lee's brand new Snack Cakes line -- initially offered in seven varieties that are all individually wrapped in single-size servings -- are so convenient and always fresh.

That makes them the perfect on-the-go sweet treat to pop into kid's lunch bags as well as to add to mom's and dad's brown bag lunches for work. Now that I think of it, these would taste pretty great with a morning coffee break at the office, too.
