Austenland Movie Frederic Fekkai Launch Party

Events

As a lifestyle blogger residing in the shadow of the Hollywood sign above Los Angeles, I couldn't be a better place when it comes to having the opportunity to share entertainment industry news regularly with faithful Mommy Blog Expert readers.

And, when reviewing movies like this, nothing's better than attending another hosted studio event to get me in the mood for more entertaining posts and a new movie-themed giveaway for you to enter. Such is the case with the movie Austenland and the Sony Pictures party I attended to celebrate the film's Blu-ray and DVD launch.

From the moment I walked through the door at the Sony party venue, the iconic Frederic Fekkai salon on Melrose Place in West Hollywood, I was surrounded by the fun, frivolity and, of course, all the indulgences reminiscent of Austenland.

This was an initimate event that I will not soon forget. From catching up here with other blogging friends covering entertainment, style, and fashion, to sitting down for the hair style by Fekkai stylist Eric, Chantecaille makeover by Greg, and the bright rose red mani by an attentive salon manicurist...

...to the lovely signature Winter Pear Martini cocktails and refreshments served and gift bags given to each guest, I thoroughly enjoyed the night's ambiance and every moment of pampering.

It wasn't all about beautiful beauty and edible party treats either. Also on hand for the festivities were actor Ricky Whittle, who plays Captain East, and Meghan Hibbett, associate producer of Austenland.

The entire Jane Austen-inspired evening, BTW, was designed and executed by The Buzz Girls who are well-known around tinsel town for really knowing how to pull off a party theme. So many lovely and unique details too, like an on location photo booth printing out Polaroid-style photos of every image posted on Instagram using the hashtag #Austenland during the party.

That's not even to mention the amazing goody bags and many wonderful memories each of us left with when the party was over.
