Family Friendly Tech Well Represented This Year

Having been to dozens of CES and its predecessor conferences since the early 1980s, I'm really missing covering CES 2019 in Las Vegas as an influencer IRL this year because of a schedule conflict. However, I'm glad to still reporting major happenings from the show remotely. That way, those of you who are as crazy about cutting edge consumer electronics as I am, won't miss any of this year's conference excitement.

I really wish I was in town now, not only to geek out and hang with some of my good friends who I usually only get to see a few times per year. I also miss watching the Bellagio Dancing Fountains, a beautiful continuous outdoor water dance show set to music and light every night at The Bellagio Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. CES, owned and produced by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA), is the largest hands-on event of its type reaching every sector of the tech industry. This year's conference in Las Vegas features 11 official venues spanning more than 2.5 million square of exhibit space. According to the CES Fact Sheet, there are 4500 exhibiting companies, 6500 media members covering the event and 180,000 attendees expected to attend this year from 155+ countries around the world.
