Housewares

GreenPan Eco-Friendly Pan

Reacting to consumer concerns over pots, pans and other cookware made with toxic materials GreenPan launched a new product concept in 2007. Today, the company offers an extensive line of cookware, bakeware and small electrical appliances that are eco-friendly and free of harmful chemicals such as PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene), PFOA (Perflueoroctoanoic acid also known as C8) and lead.

I've owned a GreenPan Signature Edition Fry Pan for more than a year and cook with it often including when developing new recipes like Talapia Mexican Fiesta for this blog. So I have first-hand experience cooking with this quality product designed in Belgium which features a truly nonstick surface.  What's more is that all the company's offerings are manufactured from 100 percent up-cycled aluminum and steel which is really important to me since I'm striving to attain as green a lifestyle as possible for my family.

So, when the brand offered MommyBlogExpert the opportunity to host a Lima GreenPan Fry Pan Giveaway it was easy to say yes. Read on for details on the prize up for grabs and how you can enter to win it just by leaving a comment on this post.

Father's Day Remembering My Late Daddy With Fond Memories Of His Tomato Garden

Celebrations

This morning I was working out in my organic garden staking my tomato plants. It prompted me to think back and remember how I used to help my own father with his vegetable patch back in the 1960s. In fact, when I was a little girl I "helped" my dad by weeding his garden...turned out I'd pulled up all the tomato plants he had transplanted earlier that day! Luckily my Daddy forgave me. As I grew up, I have many fond memories of working beside him to tend his precious tomato plants and harvesting the ripe red fruit.

Even now as a mom with a husband and children of my own, it's overpowering. If there's one thing that brings back the memory of my Daddy more than anything else: it's the strong scent of the tomato plant leaves that remains on your hands after working with them. Those of you who also grow vegetables will know that familiar smell I'm talking about.

My father passed away years ago -- and not a day goes by when I don't miss him. Yet, today I also am able to reap some joy prompted by that familiar tomato vine fragrance, remembering and honoring my beloved Dad through sharing in a hobby that I know he also loved.

Each of has a father now or had one who is now in heaven and today's the perfect day to show how much he has enhanced your life. What special memories do you have of your own Daddy? Please share by leaving a comment below this post.

Happy Father's Day

to Every Father
