The Mick Premieres on Fox New TV Sitcom
Television
MBE was hosted by Fox Studios for this project
A New Sitcom Revolving Around Family Dysfunction
Just screened The Mick at Fox Studios in Los Angeles last night followed by a fun Q&A and reception with the show's star, Kaitlin Olson. This hilarious new single-camera comedy premiers on Fox on January 1, 2016. If you think you're family is dysfunctional, wait till you see this wacky of the wackiest bunch of relatives!

Lifestyles and socioeconomic statuses clash in bizarre ways when simple, working class Aunt Mickey (aka Mackenzie, so brilliantly played by Kaitlin Olson) arrives at her character's uber wealthy sister's sprawling estate in Greenwich, Connecticut.
If @KaitlinOlson isn't your #MondayMotivation, we don't know what is. #MickInABox #TheMick pic.twitter.com/uxGR9BiVMA— The Mick (@TheMickFOX) December 12, 2016
Before viewers know it, mom and dad are off to a far away place (sorry can't tell you where: you'll have to watch the premier episode to find out), leaving Auntie in charge against her will with the couple's three spoiled entitled kids: Sabrina (18), Chip (13) and Ben (7).
Despite the fact she doesn't want to babysit these brats nor is she refined enough to navigate their snooty lifestyle, Aunt Mickey is bent on sticking this unlikely dysfunctional family scenario out. Heck or high water she wants to turn these ingrates born with silver spoons in their mouths into honest, hard-working contributors to society -- something, ironically, that's not really her forte.

Kaitlin laughs about crazy character Aunt Mickey |
You haven't seen a crazy family like this before. True, you'll be entertained and laughing throughout the opening episode, one social disaster after another.
But The Mick, created by John and Dave Chernin, the same brilliant brothers who brought us It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia (starring Kaitlin Olson as "Dee") is something more than just another sitcom. It also intends to try to do something television has yet to do well: tackle today's tough issues like gender, race, social inequality and more, in a way that's never been done before.
