DIY Borax-Free Kids Slime Easy Craft With 4 Ingredients Summer Screen-Free Fun

Crafts

Instead of listening to your child whine about being bored all summer, how about something fun to do to keep him busy which doesn't involve their use of a computer, smartphone or any other type of electronic device? Then, try making this Easy Borax-Free DIY Slime and let the kids stick their hands in and get creative, literally.

As you can see from the video this is so easy to make and your child can even be part of the process. All you need are four simple ingredients you probably already have on hand: cornstarch, shampoo, water, and food coloring. After you've mixed some up with your son or daughter, watch their creativity come alive.

Psst... It's okay for you to have YOUR smartphone handy, though. That way you can snap lots of photos of their smiles and all the wonderful projects they make.

This Slime Craft is just one fun activity of many inspiring children to get creative which you'll discover in the new book 150+ Screen-Free Activities for Kids by Asia Citro from Simon & Schuster. Many projects in this book can be made with simple household items and there are even 72 activities for babies. Stay tuned for MBE's review soon, plus more kid-friendly craft ideas you'll discover in this new book.

More Quality Time with Kids This Summer, Less Time Cleaning #UnleashTheCleanSquad

Homekeeping

As the old saying goes, busy kids who are mentally and physically active are happy kids. And, by extension, happy kids are even happier when Moms and Dads engage with them in meaningful ways. Kid messes happen. So why let that ruin their (and your fun)? Why not enjoy your children more this summer and spend less time cleaning up the messes that result, instead? Read on to see how easy it is to do just that!

Spills from arts and crafts: food and drinks; sticky messes from who knows what; mud tracked in from the backyard onto the kitchen floor -- you name it -- these are just a few of the cleanup jobs that our little darlings create. But no matter how big the mess, there's no need to get bent out of shape. The good news is that with the right housekeeping tools on hand you can still have it all: happy children, a memorable summer and a clean home for your family.

So the next time your child makes a mess, simply smile knowingly. It's time to Unleash The Clean Squad with Viva Paper Towels and Clorox spray cleaners, all available at Walmart. In no time the mess will be but a distant memory and you'll be back to what you'd rather be doing: enjoying quality time with the kids as much as possible all summer long while they're home from school.

Viva Paper Towels at Walmart

Perfect for a busy family lifestyle, Viva Towels are strong and absorbent and can be used anywhere you have kid messes to wipe up or clean, whether on the floor, kitchen and bathroom counters, windows, glass mirrors, or even those handprints on the wall. In fact, if your house is kid-friendly like ours, you won't have to look very hard to spruce things up in a snap. Often all you need is a good quality paper towel like Viva dampened with water to clean things up quickly so you can get your mind off the messes and routine household chores around the house and return to where you left off playing with your son or daughter.

Clorox Spray Cleaner at Walmart

Combined with the power of Clorox Spray Clean-Up Cleaner + Beach (in your choice of Regular or Fresh Scent), Viva Paper Towels can tackle the dirtiest of surfaces as well as kill 99.9% of bacteria and viruses found in the typical home. Remember: Clorox Cleaning Spray should only be used in well-ventilated areas and always avoid contact with clothing, fabric, wood, rubber, painted and paper surfaces.

This spray cleaner is fast and easy to use. It works great on outdoor patio furniture as well as inside on kitchen tile counters and tile walls in the bathroom. It even does a superior job cleaning dirty floors as you can see from these dramatic before and after photos showing the mess on the kitchen floor by the fridge which I cleaned up in a flash with the Clorox Cleaning Spray and Viva Paper Towels I picked up at Walmart.

BIG Clorox, Viva Towel Savings at Walmart

Why not unleash your own clean squad this summer? Grab this Clorox Ibotta rebate now to save even more on Clorox Spray Clean-Up Cleaner + Bleach, Economy 32 oz size, regularly priced at just $2.88 at Walmart. The regular price of Viva Vantage 6 Big Roll pack ($5.98) is a great deal, too, because you get 40% more Viva per roll.*  Plus get a Viva rebate

And, guess what? You can also rack up more savings when you buy these products together as a bundle on Walmart's page. The best part is that shopping online and having groceries delivered to your home will save you time, giving you more precious moments to enjoy with your children this summer.

*Towel area compared to Viva® Regular Roll; Current practice is use of “33% More”

Clean Less, Enjoy Your Children More this Summer

Visit your local Walmart and pick up your own clean squad backup crew: Viva Paper Towels and Clorox Cleaning Spray.

It's that simple to start enjoying these fleeting moments with your boys and girls this summer because as any parent who has raised a child knows, kids grow up too quickly and in a blink of the eye they'll be grownups out on their own.
