There's some very good news whether or not you and/or your kids saw the original movie. The sequel of everyone's favorite prehistoric family is available to watch just about anywhere. Now kids, friends, and grownups can enjoy DreamWorks The Croods: A New Age (2020) at home on Digital, 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD from Universal Pictures Home Entertainment. Just imagine, being able to see the same popular PG-rated family movie at home that is currently showing in theatres where they are open! 

Who doesn't love the Croods, right? I sure do. In fact, I've fond memories of the fun day almost eight years ago at a special DreamWorks influencers event on the studios' Glendale, California campus to screen the original film The Croods as well as to attend a drawing workshop taught by one of the film's creatives to learn to sketch a few of the characters (like my favorite: Belt The Sloth). The Croods fans will also want to check out these fun free printables from the first movie.

The Croods: A New Age Storyline

In the latest adventure, also known as The Croods 2, the lovable Croods family members are back including Mom, Dad and the kids, along with many of the other human and animal characters from the original and some new ones, too. 

Having survived natural disasters, ravaging wild beasts, and love, the Croods find themselves facing their biggest catastrophe yet when they encounter the Betterman family who seem to have it all -- and as their name implies -- appear to be hipper and better than their own clan.

What happens when these two families' extraordinary different lifestyles collide results in a series of funny twists and turns in the plot. Eventually they all evolve toward their realization that they now have no choice but to collaborate, cooperate and work together to survive. 

As a mom of four kids, I think this is a powerful movie with many teachable moments. It's a film overflowing with positive messaging for kids (and even adults) about putting one's own differences aside and coming together for the common good. It is also about parents serving as strong, upstanding role models for their children to emulate.

Kamp Koral Series, Newest SpongeBob Movie on Paramount+

Lots of exciting things are happening in home entertainment as a whole new world of SpongeBob SquarePants, including the latest movie plus a new series are brought to fans of all ages, both kids and kids-at-heart. This week SpongeBob and his Bikini Bottom pals make a big cannon ball splash as the beloved animated ensemble surfaces on ViacomCBS' brand new subscription video on-demand service Paramount+.

Starting March 4th, Paramount+ subscribers will be treated to the newest SpongeBob animated film release, The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run (2020); the movie will also be available on Premium Video-On-Demand. But, that's not all. Paramount+ will also be offering SpongeBob lovers access to an all-new original animated TV series called Kamp Koral: SpongeBob's Under Years (2021) in addition to SpongeBob SquarePants Seasons 1 -11.

The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run -- the first ever all CGI SpongeBob release -- regales the story of SpongeBob and best friend Patrick as they embark on an exciting adventure to save Gary, the adorable pet snail who suddenly goes missing.

With Tom Kenney voicing both SpongeBob and Gary the Snail, the fun and silliness is non-stop as Plankton (Mr. Lawrence, AKA Douglas Lawrence Osowski), tries to steal the coveted Krabby Patty formula. With a run-time of 91 minutes the feature length animated show features the entire Bikini Bottom gang which also counts Awkwafina, Clancy Brown, Rodger Bumpass, Bill Fagerbakke, Carolyn Lawrence,  Reggie Watts, Snoop Dogg, Tiffany Haddish, and Keanu Reeves and other actors among the talented cast. 

Meanwhile, the new Paramount+ exclusive series Kamp Koral: SpongeBob's Under Years, is a prequel sharing the back story of 10-year-old SpongeBob and his pals at summer camp.  In this spin-off of the original SpongeBob SquarePants which first debuted in 1999 -- over 13 all-new episodes -- the audience will meet various SpongeBob characters as kids at summer camp. 

As a child camper SpongeBob spends his summer having fun and doing kid-like things: catching jellyfish, building camp fires, swimming in Lake Yuckymuck, and other wholesome outdoor camp activities. He'll also be interacting with his fellow kid campers, befriending Squidward, Sandy, Plankton, Patrick and others.
