In a unique mommy blogger memorial to 9/11 today I begin an eleven part series of original posts every day of the new month through September 11. The purpose of each entry will be to honor and remember those in the U.S. who died or were injured by the tragic terrorist attacks at the World Trade Center, The Pentagon and in Western Pennsylvania that day. But it is also intended to inspire the living: families and especially children, who are the guarantors of the future.

I hope that these writings provide solace, a glimmer of hope, and a new source of renewal to all moms, dads, women, men, and children who were directly affected, as well as to the American public at large.
