#HomeAloneInsiders

It's hard to believe it's been 25 years since the original blockbuster hit Home Alone starring the precocious kid Macaulay Culkin and Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern (who played the bungling adult thieves)  flashed across the big screen. In fact, I'm old enough to remember seeing this wacky comedy in the theater back in 1990. Since then, another generation, including my own kids, have laughted their way through the four sequel films that followed in this series.

To celebrate this momentous anniversary, Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment this month released a very special Home Alone: Ultimate Collector's Edition on Blu-ray and DVD which includes all five films bundled together for the first time.

Just in time for the holidays, the complete set is available in stores and online in probably the most creative movie packaging I've ever seen: a paint can including the entire video collection with two extra hours of special features as well as an assortment of limited edition movie memorabilia such as a McCallister Christmas ornament. Also in the metal paint can you'll find Kevin's battle plan for the Wet Bandits, his tarantula, a wanted poster of the thieves Harry and Marv and other fun goodies.

The Home Alone: Ultimate Collector's Edition Paint Bucket includes
  • Home Alone DVD & Blu-ray with Digital HD
  • Home Alone 2: Lost in New York DVD & Blu-ray with Digital HD
  • Home Alone 3 DVD
  • Home Alone: Taking Back the House DVD
  • Home Alone: Holiday Heist DVD
Here's a look at the original Home Alone

Home Alone: Ultimate Collector's Edition retails for $69.99. Additionally, another gift set featuring Home Alone and Home Alone 2: Lost in New York ($14.99) is available exclusively at Target. This features both films on Blu-ray along with a warm and wearable reproduction of Kevin's famous winter knit hat from the films.
