MBE partnered with Modern Christmas Trees for this post

Contemporary Home Style

The anticipation of Thanksgiving signals that wonderful time of the year. It's time to start getting ready for the holidays and entertaining. With all the hustle and bustle, for most of you celebrating Christmas that means it's time to start thinking specifically about one of the most festive traditions of the holiday: your Christmas tree.

Modern Christmas Trees

Sure you could do the same thing you do every year: either cut down a live tree that leaves pine needles on the floor or assemble a bulky artificial tree with unwieldily foldable branches. But why bother with any of those hassles when you could try something easier, new and really different? Instead consider one of these futuristic sleek acrylic Modern Christmas Trees you, your family and friends will enjoy for years to come.

Alternative Christmas Trees as Art

Originally handmade by engineer, architect and designer Lawrence 'Bud' Stoecker in the mid-1960s, the mid-century modern and contemporary tree idea was nearly lost forever. Luckily in 2012, Matt Bliss revived his grandfather's Christmas tree concept by patenting Stoecker's design and launching the company's website

Modern Christmas Trees

As you can see from the photos illustrating this post, these joyful modern tree designs fit any style home or apartment and are a wonderful way to display your holiday ornament collection.

Absolutely captivating and enchanting -- like a grand piano's sound filling a room with sound -- the light and presence of these elegant modernistic Christmas trees will illuminate the holidays in the hearts and minds across the generations, including everyone from children and older kids to adults and elders.

I think those trees are cool, but I am very traditional when it comes to MY tree. I like a real one in my house :)

That is a really interesting looking tree! It is pretty in it's own way. I knew a few people that would LOVE this tree!

While this tree is cool, I love the warmth of a traditional tree. The warmth, love, and feelings seem to be void in this tree despite the coolness factor.

Those trees are so cool looking! I've never thought about going ultra modern with our tree, but it might be something to think about.

Oh wow this is a super modern tree! I love it! It's perfect for city living when there is not enough room for a big tree!

I love these modern trees. Too bad my cats would have a field day if I did something like this.

I like to change things up every year with my Christmas tree. I really like this futuristic tree. I still have to decide on my theme for this year.

Going with a modern look could be very cool! It would be fun to match the tree with some other modern decorations too.

Very cool ideas! If you have a modern style, those would be really neat. Not sure I could give up my traditional tree though!

I don't think it's a tree that I would do in my house since it's not modern enough. With that said I LOVE how they look and think they would look so cool with the right decor. - Sarah, Must Have Mom
