Kids in the hospital at Los Angeles area LA County and USC Medical Center were treated to a surprise visit today by Tom Holland of Spider-Man fame. Thanks to Funko -- which donated $1 million worth of toys to Starlight Children's Foundation -- the super hero actor personally arrived in Amazon's Treasure Truck to make a very special delivery before hanging out with the children at this major metro medical complex to cheer them up. The celebrity appearance which brought smiles and a bit of happiness to young boy and girl patients is part of this week's Marvel: the Universe Unites charity campaign.

Avengers: Infinity War Cast Pitches In

Marvel: The Universe Unites is inspiring the cast of the upcoming action movie Avengers: Infinity War (in theaters March 27, 2018) to join forces for the better good via a series of social media challenges to raise funds for and awareness about foundations supporting children and families affected by serious illness.

Other members of the cast who've jumped on this bandwagon of goodness include Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Mark Ruffalo (The Hulk), Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Chadwick Boseman (Black Panther), Zoe Zaldana (Gamora), Dave Butista (Drax), and others.

The combined support of Marvel hero talent so far has reached one million cumulative likes. This tremendous outpouring of generosity has already unlocked a $250,000 US donation to Starlight Children's Foundation from Marvel.

Amazon, Disney Store Join the Campaign

Amazon will also be supporting the campaign beginning March 3rd with a special Amazon Wish List where donations will be directed to the Starlight Foundation. Then, this weekend March 3-4 shopDisney.com and Disney store will be donating 10% of weekend Marvel product sales to Make-A-Wish, up to $50,000 USD in support of the Marvel: The Universe Unites outreach efforts.
