Hospitalized Kids Nationwide Benefit Lollipop Theater Network Superhero Walk

Community

#LollipopSuperHeroWalk

Nothing is better than sharing ways to make the world a better place while also inspiring us all to be good role models for our children. That's why I can't contain my enthusiasm about inviting Southern California kids, moms and dads in the Los Angeles area to join in an awesome family fun activity. The event takes place Sunday, April 29th for a very good cause: the 2nd Annual Superhero Walk hosted by non-profit Lollipop Theater Network at Pan Pacific Park in LA.  Not going to be in the local area? Not to worry. You can still join in all the excitement using the hashtag #LollipopSuperHeroWalk on social.

Working with major studios, like Sony Pictures Entertainment and more, as well as others in the entertainment industry, Lollipop Theater Network's overall mission as a non-profit organization is to bring the magic of current big screen movies to pediatric patients in hospitals nationwide. That way, through in-hospital programming, seriously ill boys and girls never have to miss the same films their friends and siblings are seeing in theaters. The Lollipop Superhero Walk is just one of all the things they do to make a real difference in very sick kids' lives.

Family Fun - Bring the Kids

Every guest (both adults and kids) participating in this worthwhile awareness and fundraising walk event receives a cape upon arrival. Super hero fans, young and old, are also welcome to bring their own personal favorites to wear. Everyone will then walk together to celebrate the real superheroes we all look up to: hospitalized children!

In addition, Lollipop has partnered with the Costume Designers Guild to create completely accessorized superhero costumes this year for eight extra special patients from local Los Angeles hospitals.

Celebrities Scheduled

Among the entertainment industry celebrities slated to walk along with the public are Katie Lowes (Scandal), Colton Haynes and Echo Kellum (Arrow), Billy Bush and Parker Bates (This is Us), Mason Cook (Speechless), Soni Bringas (Fuller House), Sam Lerner and Jacob Hopkins (The Goldbergs), Rebecca Mader (Once Upon a Time), Sean Ryan Fox and Cooper Barnes (Henry Danger), Emery Kelly (Alexa & Katie), Jillian Rose Reed (Elena of Avalor), Jake Allyn (The Quad), and Lillimar (Knight Squad).

Also on hand: Costume Designers Guild Designers Kym Barrett, Michael Crow, Kristi Hoffman, Camille Jumelle, Arefeh Mansouri, Maranda Nichols, Gabrielle Sciabbarrasi, and Ariyela Wald-Cohain.

Following the one hour walk, there will be an after-party with food, beverages, photo booth, music, games and other activities to enjoy. 1. Such a great cause! I wish we had something like that going on here, but in this weather (40 degrees) I'll bet no one would show up!
