Since legend has it that on June 14th Greek mathematician and scientist Archimedes discovered that one can accurately measure the volume of an object when it is submerged in water, International Bath Day was established. To help moms and dad everywhere celebrate this day on the calendar around the world, I'd like to share the findings of a fascinating survey recently released by Pediatric Therapy Network.
If your son or daughter loves to play in the tub during bathtime, don't be surprised, you've got plenty of company. That's because 73% of the 300 moms surveyed say they view this parenting ritual as an important time for child exploration and 93% of all moms use fun bath toys with their kids.
Other findings in the Pediatric Therapy Network Survey
- 58% of the respondents bath their child 4 to 7 times per week
- 55% reported that moms are most likely to give baths to kids, with 37% of moms and dads sharing bath duty
- 90% of parents said they looked forward to bath time because of how happy and relaxed their children are afterward
- 65% use bubble bath when bathing kids at home
Fun Kids Toys Enhancing Bath Time
There truly are so many fun and educational bath toys on the market today.
