I like sharing deals I hear about with readers, especially about technology products that I've personally tested. The brand new iDeaPLAY kids tablet just reviewed on MommyBlogExpert a few weeks ago is an example of such a tech device. Introduced in October, this 7-inch child's tablet comes with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and a unique and sturdy protective silicone case.

Cornucopia Clay How to Directions

Thanksgiving is a time for being thankful for everything in our lives, especially celebrating all the joy that our kids and families bring. This has always been a deeply meaningful time of year for me -- both when I was a child myself and now that I am a mother. In fact, it continues to be so, even though my four children (big brother plus triplets, all born within a year) are now teens.

I'm guessing that Thanksgiving is also a special time for you and your family. And, if your kids are anything like mine when they were in elementary school, they've brought home some wonderful arts and crafts for the holiday that they made in class. Why not continue making a few more projects at home together to add to the fun?

Really. If you think about it, there's no better opportunity than right now to slow down and spend some quality time with children while they are home from school making some seasonal and fun arts and crafts projects together. Not only will you be creating heirloom keepsakes for your dinner table and some festive decorations for your house, you'll also be crafting memories that last a lifetime. I've found crafts can be particularly helpful with older kids in getting them to open up, talk and interact with you more.

The original crayon brand that coined the term was central to my own Baby Boomer childhood in the 1960s, for sure. Many Crayola ideas have been showcased on MommyBlogExpert over past years including this whimsical Paper Hanukkah Menorah Craft and Crayola's Chanukah Printables for the upcoming Jewish holiday which coincides for the first time in history on Thanksgiving this year.

Now, in 2013, I couldn't be more delighted that Crayola is continuing the tradition, inspiring today's wired kids via lots of new old-fashioned handmade DIY craft ideas to make Thanksgiving meaningful, fun and unforgettable.

Crayola offers a colorful cornucopia full of arts and crafts ideas for things to make suitable for various ages and developmental skills. Check it out, I bet you'll find more than one thing you'd like to make with your child. Among my personal favorites are this Cornucopia Craft made with Model Magic Clay, the Holiday Pie Placecard Holders and the Paper-Strip Pumpkin Centerpiece.

Access the free Crayola Colorful Thanks crafts page for all the easy directions on how to get started. You'll also find lots of downloadable Thankgiving coloring pages, too.
