Tickets are on sale now for the Disney Live Mickey's Music Festival shows in Long Beach (September 13-14) and Hollywood (September 19-21). This touring show is from Feld Entertainment, the same production company that brought amazing live performances of the Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus this summer and Disney on Ice to Southern California late last year.

This show is all about Disney, delivering a musical concert family entertainment experience like none other that appeals to every generation. 

The production features more than 25 Disney classic characters including Mickey Mouse and friends Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy and other singing and dancing in a fast-paced music mega mash-up set to the tunes from hit movies like Aladdin, The Little Mermaid and Disney/Pixar's Toy Story remixed with a rock, pop, reggae, hip-hop, jazz, country and other jams.

Legends of Oz: Dorothy's Return Doll, MommyBlogExpert.com

This year the iconic 1939 The Wizard of Oz movie celebrates its 75th anniversary. I doubt I'm alone as a Baby Boomer in saying that this picture is my all-time favorite. Few, if any, other feature films have that kind of longevity impacting four generations of fans and counting. Following in those great footsteps, Legends of Oz: Dorothy's Return -- which played on the big screen this past spring-- will launch of Bluray and DVD from Twentieth Century Fox on August 26th.


Today's kids, along with their parents, grandparents and even great grandparents will likely enjoy this musical, animated journey back to the magical world of the Oz of yesteryear. Voiced by an equally legendary cast that has multi-generational appeal, Legends of Oz: Dorothy's Return features the voices of Lea Michele (TV's Glee) along with great film and television actors like Dan Akroyd, Martin Short, Jim Belushi, Patrick Stewart, Kelsey Grammar and others. 

In this rendition there's a new villain by the name of the Jester who rules over Oz playing opposite some familiar but updated faces from the original film as well as a refreshing new cast of characters. Dorothy finds herself having to take another trip from Kansas back to Oz to rescue her oldest and dearest of friends: the Lion, the Scarecrow and the Tin Man. Augmenting the whimsical animation is a whole new set of songs by Academy Award nominated singer/songwriter Bryan Adams that will have every member of the family, young and old, singing along together.
