Mike's Hard Pink Lemonade Celebrates 15th Year by Supporting Breast Cancer Awareness

I participated in an Influencer Activation Program on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for mike's hard lemonade. I received a gift card to facilitate this review and a promotional item to thank me for participating.

October is here which means it's also a call for the public to band together and participate in Breast Cancer Awareness Month (BCAM). This annual month-long charitable campaign has been held every fall since 1995 to build awareness and raise funds for breast cancer research, prevention, and diagnosis -- and most important of all -- to find a cure.

Mike's Hard Lemonade Co. is doing their part to raise money for this great cause and is celebrating their 15th anniversary by offering their delicious limited edition mike's hard pink lemonade in stores throughout the U.S. until the end of October.

 Since 2009, Mike's Hard Lemonade Co. has released this seasonal pink lemonade flavor each fall in support of breast cancer awareness and has contributed more than $1 million to the campaign.

To be honest, until today, I hadn't tried this brand's mike's hard pink lemonade and didn't really know what to expect. 

 Long story short... What a way for this mom who is on the constant go to extend those not-so-long-ago memories of the lazy days of summer as we move briskly into the hectic back-to-school days of fall!

As the story goes, I authorized my self-employed self to take a little cool down break from blogging to indulge in a taste. Sipping a chilled glass of mike's hard pink lemonade for the first time this afternoon was surprisingly delicious and relaxing.

This adult alcoholic drink made with real whole lemons -- though unlike old-fashioned lemonade is pulpless -- was much more sparkling, light and refreshing than I expected. Not too heavy or filling, with just the right balance between sweet and tart lemon flavor.

Hubby loves joining me for taste tests and giving his own opinions and he was definitely up for this one. When he tried mike's hard pink lemonade straight from the bottle he chimed in, "Though I wish it were pinker in color, it's not overly lemony and really quenches the thirst well with the appropriate carbonation. Overall I think it was really good, definitely best served ice cold."

I encourage you to join Mike's Lemonade Co. and actively support Breast Cancer Awareness Month. As a woman who has personally lost way too many family members and good friends to this devastating disease that is expected to be responsible for 40,000 U.S. female deaths during 2014, we can't consider the seriousness of the isue enough. Remember: When you "drink pink" you are not only treating yourself to something special, you are supporting a noble cause that impacts many. 

No one feels more gratified than I to have the opportunity to share my first-hand experience with mike's hard pink lemonade. Not only because it tastes great but because the company behind it gives a hoot about Breast Cancer.
