Just in time for the holidays comes the release of Smallfoot from Warner Bros. Studios, available digitally on December 4 and on DVD Special Edition and Blu-ray Combo Pack on December 11. This family animated adventure featuring an all-star cast voicing the characters is epic. It's a story about many positive life lessons such as working together, friendship and courage, a movie that will entertain and inspire all ages from kids and parents to grandparents and others.

The new home video version of the movie includes lots of family fun and extras as well as new music by Zendaya & Common. It's a tale that disrupts the Bigfoot legend when a smart little Yeti (Channing Tatum) encounters his first-ever human. The news about the smallfoot, Percy (James Corden), launches the Yeti community into confusion wondering about what or who else might be out there in the world beyond this isolated and quaint snowy village. Big name voice talents also include LeBron James, Danny DeVito, Gina Rodriquez, and more. The film is rated PG.

Jews worldwide will soon be lighting the first candle on a candelabra called a menorah to celebrate the beginning of the 8-night celebration of Chanukah. During the holiday it is traditional to eat fried foods like potato pancakes called latkes.

Most people who enjoy this Jewish seasonal treat say that the best latkes are the homemade ones made from freshly grated potatoes, not the ones made from a mix that comes in a box. To make these mouthwatering potato pancakes you can grate fresh potatoes with a traditional metal grater (or use the shredding attachment on your food processor) or you can use a vegetable spiralizer like I did to make latkes this year.

Here's my super easy Hanukkah Latkes Recipe and some tips to make them crispy brown and delicious.
